On February 21, 2024, Babar Azam made history as the fastest hitter to score 10,000 runs in a Twenty20 match. In the game’s shortest version, he is considered one of the best batters by most. While playing for Peshawar Zalmi against Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he accomplished this achievement in his 271st innings. In T20 cricket, Babar is the 13th hitter and the second Pakistani player to reach 10,000 runs, behind Shoaib Malik. Moreover, in the PSL, he is also the first player to reach three thousand runs. In Twenty20 cricket, Babar boasts a strike rate of 128.82 and an average of 43.83. He has scored 10 centuries and 83 half-centuries.
