‘Biggest comeback’ – Fans react to reports about KL Rahul’s comeback in upcoming Asia Cup 2023

According to reports, India’s star cricketer, KL Rahul, is all set to make his mark in the upcoming Asia Cup. Some reports suggest that the wicketkeeper batter is fully fit ahead of mega tournaments and will be a part of the Indian squad. In addition, the star pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna have already attained full fitness and are set to play in the forthcoming three-match T20I series in Ireland, commencing on August 18. In addition, the return of these players is a big boost for India ahead of the Asia Cup and World Cup.

Notably, the Bangalore-born batter was injured on May 1 after sustaining a leg injury during a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2023. Meanwhile, the right-handed batter also missed the last few matches of the recently concluded IPL 2023. Furthermore, Krunal Pandya was named as the skipper in his absence for LSG.

In addition, KL Rahul also missed the World Test Championship Final and the West Indies campaign. Moreover, some speculation suggested that the stylish batter would be missing the Asia Cup 2023 as the 31-year-old was not being selected for the T20I series against Ireland; however, the Times of India has confirmed that he will be featuring in the continental tournament commencing on August 30 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, however, the Men in Blue will be playing all the matches in Sri Lanka.

“The coaches and medical experts at the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy in Bangalore are satisfied with Rahul’s progress/recovery. He will be available for selection for the Asia Cup,” Times of India was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, in Rishabh Pant’s absence, the star batter will not merely boost the squad with its wicketkeeping issues but additionally provide a great number of runs while batting in the middle order.
