‘Blackcaps ki C Team se jeete ho, zyada mat uchhlo’ – Fan react to Pakistan taking 3-0 lead against New Zealand in ODI series

Pakistan is hosting New Zealand in the off-season for a white-ball series. This series is played to compensate PCB losses after the Blackcaps decided to leave the 2021 tour right before the start. Meanwhile, in the five-match T20I series, the series was leveled by the third-strength NZ side. On the other hand, the home team has dominated the ongoing ODI series.

After winning the first two games in Rawalpindi, both teams arrived in Karachi for the third game. In this game, the Tom Latham-led side needed to win to keep the series alive. After winning the toss, they decided to bowl first. With the bat, Pakistan had a good start at one stage after losing the wicket of Fakar Zaman early in the innings. The likes of skipper Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq scored fifties with the latter missing out on a century.

However, the middle-order of the Babar Azam-led side failed to capitalize and was rather restricted to 287/6.

New Zealand lost the ODI series

In reply, the visitors had a good start as the openers, Will Young and Tom Blundell put together 87 runs. However, just like Pakistan’s middle order, the Blackcaps’ middle order couldn’t capitalize on the start. However, Cole McConchie (64) kept the team in the game just. In the last over, he was the last wicket to fall, losing the game by 26 runs.

With this loss, the team has lost the series and can only make it 3-2 if they win the last two games. Both games will be played in Karachi at 4:00 PM IST on May 5 and 7 respectively. Apparently, the games started late in the series due to peak summers in the Indian subcontinent.

2players must be in playing 11. Iftikhar & Imad.Their roles must be defined&team should stick to it. Both r better performers on consistent bases as to Salman & Nawaz.Iftikhar bowling skills must also be utilized on regular basis. Fast Bowling options we have plenty & may rotate

Dr. sb, no. 6 is I think confirmed now. He should be given regular chances, however, there is a little bit dark still at 4. Spinners are finalized and strengthened by adding Usama. I think both Shafiq and Agha should be given regular chances to boost their confidence. That's it

Agha is a solid number 6/6th bowler we need for the team balance. We saw how he took over from Nawaz yesterday and didn’t let us feel the absence of our 5th bowler. At 4, @IftiMania and Haris Sohail will be ideal. Keep both in 15 for WC23

Salman agha is a misfit.. no matter if he score an occasional fifty or take few wickets.. It’s always going to be Iftikhar at number 6

At number 4 Abdullah is also misfit.. The way Babar & Imam plays.. you need someone aggressive at 4 who can attack spinners.. Azam Khan may be
