Bowler with humble background gets a second opportunity

Avesh Khan is one of the main bowlers of Lucknow Super Giants. Under the leadership of Kl Rahul and the mentorship of Gautam Gambhir, Avesh Khan did well in the 2022 season and got a call-up for the Indian team. But things did not go well for the youngster, as he could not perform well for Team India at the highest level. So far, the Indore pacer has not achieved anything significant in international cricket.

Due to his failures, Avesh Khan was removed from the Indian side. The domestic seasons did not go well for Avesh Khan and he failed to perform well in the Indian Premier League 2023 for LSG. In some matches, Khan did not even feature in the starting XI of the side. Due to several team combinations and emerging talents in the squad of LSG, Avesh was not a regular in the team.

One wondered how the promising bowler who was very good around 2021 could not perform that well for India. With inconsistency, one wondered about the future of the pacer. But it seems like life has given a second chance to the pacer. Avesh Khan was picked in the Indian squad for Asian Games which will take place in Late September. Under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, India will be hoping to win the gold medal.

Success from humble backgrounds

Avesh Khan is one of those cricketers who came from humble background. Avesh Khan’s father was selling paan in the streets of Indore. There were a lot of difficulties in the family of Khan. But the youngster was determined to be a successful athlete. Khan overcame those challenges and finally debuted for Team India, which is an inspirational turnaround without a doubt.

The pacer bagged a big deal in IPL 2022, which would have changed his life in a big way. If he can perform well in the Asian Games and help Team India to win the gold medal in the process, he might be considered to be the regular in the team yet again.
