The Australia cricket team sealed a 3-0 series whitewash over Pakistan on Saturday owing to star batter David Warner’s magnificent innings of 57 runs of knock in his farewell Test at Sydney Cricket Ground. Notably, the left-handed batter’s performance was crucial to Australia’s winning chase of 130 runs, regardless of the fact that he didn’t get the chance to hit the game-winning runs as he lost his wickets in crucial time.

However, Marnus Labuschagne remained unbeaten with his 62 runs, which helped them win the last and final Test game by 8 wickets against Pakistan. Notably, David Warner was seen walking off the field in the whites for the last time. The 37-year-old cricketer received a standing ovation from his fans and teammates.

The southpaw reflects his journey to the WTC Final, Ashes, and ODI World Cup 2023 after the series win over Pakistan. “It’s pretty much a dream come true. You win 3-0 Test series and cap off what’s been a great 18 months to 2 years for the Australian cricket team. World Test Championship win, Ashes series draw and then the World Cup. To come here and finish 3-0 is an outstanding achievement. I’m proud to be with a bunch of great cricketers here.  I felt happy and really proud. Australian cricket over the last decade or my career, I can’t thank them enough,” David Warner said after the win being quoted by Cricbuzz.

“All credits to my parents for giving me a beautiful and great upbringing, my brother Steve, I followed in his footsteps and then came along Candice and sort of got me in line. We’ve had a beautiful family. I cherish every moment I get with them. I love them to death and I’m not going to keep carrying on because I’ll get too emotional,” he added further.
