‘Fir se ek bar pitaai jo karwani h’ – Fans react to Wasim Jaffer’s hilarious tweet about Pakistan celebrating India’s win against Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2023

Rohit Sharma and Co. booked their spot in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 after defeating Pakistan and Sri Lanka in less than 24 hours on September 11 and 12 at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Team India had a terrific Super Fours journey in the Asia Cup. Earlier, the Men in Blue defeated Pakistan by a massive margin and grabbed the top position in the points table owing to a high net run rate, whereas Babar Azam and Co. are currently in third position with one win and one loss from their two games.

Meanwhile, Team India successfully defended their 213 runs against Dasun Shanaka’s side owing to fabulous bowling spells from Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah, which enabled them to bundle out the hosts for 172 runs in 41.3 overs. Sri Lanka still places themselves in second place owing to their high run rate as compared to the Men in Green.

Pak fans celebrating India’s win today after 228 run loss yesterday: Wasim Jaffer

The Men in Blue will be locking horns against Bangladesh on September 15 to continue their winning streak at the Asia Cup 2023, whereas Sri Lanka and Pakistan will be facing each other on September 14 to book their place in the final to face India, which is all set to take place on September 17. Following India’s win against Sri Lanka, former India cricketer turned analyst Wasim Jaffer shared a hilarious post from his social media account to take a jibe at Pakistan. The former India batter says that the neighboring country must be celebrating India’s win against Sri Lanka. “Pak fans celebrating India’s win today after 228 run loss yesterday,” Wasim Jaffer wrote on X.

Notably, his tweets simply imply that India’s win has opened Pakistan’s way to reaching the final, as if they win their last match against Sri Lanka, they will be facing arch-rivals India. In addition, if India had lost the match against the hosts, Sri Lanka would have reached the final despite losing against Pakistan in their last match, whereas India’s chances were better to reach the final as they could have easily defeated Bangladesh in their last match.
