Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi’s sister passed away on October 17. Notably, the news of his sister’s demise was announced by Shahid Afridi, and a few renowed cricket journalists also revealed the news. Notably, Shahid Afridi’s sister has been hospitalized for so long and hasn’t been well for the past many weeks. Shahid Afridi took to Twitter and shared a heartwarming note about his sister, with particular details of a funeral taking place.
The former Pakistani all-rounder has been known as the top batsman for his side and currently holds the top spot in terms of slamming the fastest century. Notably, the 46-year-old cricketer has represented his side in 27 Test matches, 398 ODIs, and 99 T20Is, totaling 1716, 8064, and 1416 runs, respectively, so far in his cricketing career. Recently, Shahid Afridi’s daughter Ansha got married to 23-year-old pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi following the Asia Cup 2023.
“Surely we belong to Allah and to him we shall return. With Heavy hearts we inform you that our beloved Sister passed away and her Namaz e Janazah will be at 17.10.2023 after Zuhur prayer at Zakariya masjid main 26th street Khayaban e Ghalib DHA,” Shahid Afridi wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

According to sources, Shahid Afridi’s sister was extremely ill with critical conditions in the hospital. Just a day ago, the former right-handed batsman revealed that his sister is not well, and he is on the way to meet her soon. Moreover, the legendary cricketer requested and urged his fans and admirers to send players and good wishes for his sister, who was fighting for her life in the hospital. The former leg spinner wanted her sister to have a long and healthy life, but tragically, she passed away on October 17.
“I am travelling back to see you soon my love stay strong My sister is fighting for her life right now, I request you to make Duas for her health, will mean a lot. May Allah give her speedy recovery and a long healthy life Ya Rabb,” he wrote on X.
