‘Galat kya bola isme’ – Fans react as Mohammad Amir terms Virat Kohli ‘Best batsman in the world’, ahead of Babar Azam

Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir recently termed Indian batter Virat Kohli as the best batter in the world. While Amir termed his national skipper Babar Azam as the best batsman in Pakistan. There has been a lot of debate in the cricketing fraternity regarding Kohli and Babar. People fans compare both cricketers to each other looking at their numbers in international cricket.

Mohammed Amir also applauded Kohli previously when he scored his sixth IPL hundred against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 18th May and also called him his favourite. The 34-year-old then again smashed another century in the next game against Gujarat Titans. The Royal Challengers Bangalore batter had a great season with the bat as he amassed 639 from 14 matches at an average of 53.25 with six fifties and two hundreds.

“Babar Azam is the best batter in Pakistan, Virat Kohli is the best batter in the world in this era,” Amir was quoted as saying.

‘There is no comparison with Virat and any other player’ – Amir

“I think Klaasen played a really good innings, it was one of the best of his career. I think a lot of credit should be given to his innings. But if we talk about RCB, their opening pair of Faf and Virat. It is unbelievable, Faf is going along as the highest run-scorer in the IPL and I think he will break the record of 800 runs,” said Amir earlier on his YouTube channel.

“Virat is my favourite player of this era, I say this everytime. There is no comparison with Virat and any other player. I think his achievements are unbelievable and the way he scored the hundred. I think it was special because it was a must-win game and the shots he played. It was a lot of class on display and he showed it. That is the sign of a great player, when situations like these come he stands up,” he further added.

“It was a must-win game for RCB, their chances of playing the semi-final have opened and I hope they play the semi-final and final and win the trophy,” he concluded.
