WATCH: Glenn Maxwell’s hilarious on-field commentary in BBL leaves everyone in splits

Australia’s star cricketer Glenn Maxwell showed his amusing form during the ongoing edition of the Big Bash League match between the Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunders, which took place on December 23 at the iconic MCG. The great all-rounder was spotted talking with the commentators about former Australian star Brett Lee and Pakistani right-arm pacer Haris Rauf during the game. Notably, the video of his funny conversation has gone viral, featuring great comments.

Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell showed his love for Indian franchises and affirmed that he plans to play for the IPL until the end of his cricketing career. Moreover, the 35-year-old cricketer reveals that he met so many wonderful people, friends, coaches, and players during the IPL, which has shaped his career throughout his whole life.

‘The IPL will probably be the last tournament I ever play, as I will play the IPL until I can’t walk anymore. I was talking about how good the IPL has been to me throughout my career, the people I’ve met, the coaches I have played under, the international players that you get to rub shoulders with, how beneficial to my whole career that tournament has been,” Glenn Maxwell said.

The Victoria-born cricketer also talked about playing his time with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in the franchise game. In addition, the middle-order batter feels the IPL was a great learning experience for him and helped him to know Indian conditions a lot. Meanwhile, the batting all-rounder is hopeful that his side will get over the IPL as they set their eyes on the T20 World Cup 2024, slated to take place in May and June next year in the West Indies and the USA.

“You’re rubbing shoulders with AB (de Villiers) and Virat (Kohli) for two months, talking to them while watching other games. It’s just the greatest learning experience that any player could ask for. Hopefully, a lot of our Australian players can get over to the IPL and get to work in slightly similar conditions to the West Indies, where it is a little bit drier, it will spin,” he added further.
