Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya is all set to return to his old franchise, the Mumbai Indians, ahead of the IPL 2024. Notably, some reports claim that the Gujarat Titans have agreed to trade Hardik Pandya ahead of the new edition. The great all-rounder started his journey with the Mumbai Indians for 10 lakh back in 2015, and he is again set to be back in the same franchise for 15 crores this time.

The 30-year-old cricketer joined the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 when he led his side to become champions after defeating the Rajasthan Royals in their inaugural edition. However, the great cricketer also led his side to the final of the IPL 2023 and ended his journey as the first runner-up. Notably, MS Dhoni-led CSK defeated them in the last two balls, owing to the great two boundaries set by Ravindra Jadeja.

Speaking about his contribution, the middle-order batter has amassed 833 runs in 31 games and 11 wickets in the past two seasons with the Gujarat Titans. In addition, Pandya played a crucial role in the IPL 2022 final, with balls helping his side restrict Rajasthan Royals early, which helped his side chase down the total to win their first title. Hardik Pandya’s side has finished in the top positions and was the first team to be in the playoffs in both seasons.

Hardik Pandya has always captained the T20I for Team India

However, it was during his time guiding the Titans that Pandya garnered recognition as a possible future captain of India. He ultimately took the India captaincy on multiple occasions in T20Is and ODIs owing to his heroics in the IPL with the Gujarat Titans. Moreover, the great cricketer is expected to be the new captain of Team India.
