‘Koi na , humko sirf World Cup chahiye bus’ – Fans react as Hardik Pandya set to miss white-ball series against Australia and South Africa

India’s star cricketer, Hardik Pandya is set to miss India’s upcoming series against Australia and South Africa, which is slated to take place after the ODI World Cup 2023. The Men in Blue will be facing Australia for the five matches of the T20I series commencing on November 23. Indian star cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer, along with some bowlers, will get the rest for the series.

Notably, following the Australia series, Rohit Sharma and Co. will be facing South Africa for the multi-format series commencing from December 10 to January 7. Meanwhile, India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya sustained injuries in the ODI World Cup 2023 clash against Bangladesh at MCA in Pune, where he was trying to block the shot of Bangladesh opener Liton Das during the game.

Following that, Pandya has been ruled out of the marquee event, and he is currently at the NCA for his rehabilitation to mark his comeback. The 30-year-old cricketer has been a very prominent player for his side, providing substantial opportunities with his bat and ball during the game. However, Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar Yadav have replaced him in the squad. The right-arm pacer showed his flabbergasting form in the event. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav’s lack of form still hasn’t filled the void of the Gujarat Titans’ skipper.

This team is special and I’m sure we’ll make everyone proud: Hardik Pandya

However, just a few days ago, Hardik Pandya showed his disappointment in getting ruled out of the ongoing campaign owing to his injuries and failing to recover on time. In addition, the Baroda-born cricketer is hopeful that the hosts will bring glory to the nation.

“Tough to digest the fact that I will miss out on the remaining part of the World Cup. I’ll be with the team, in spirit, cheering them on every ball of every game. Thanks for all the wishes, the love, and the support has been incredible. This team is special and I’m sure we’ll make everyone proud. Love, always, HP,” Hardik Pandya wrote on X.
