Pakistan pace sensation Haris Rauf sidelined from PSL 2024 with shoulder injury

Pakistan’s star bowler Haris Rauf has been sidelined from the ongoing edition of PSL 2024 after he sustained the injury on February 24 during the clash against Karachi Kings at Gaddafi Cricket Stadium in Lahore. Notably, the Pakistan Cricket Board will be working closely with him as the T20 World Cup 2024 is around the corner and slated to take place on June 1 in the West Indies and USA.

Notably, Haris Rauf went on to dismiss Hasan Ali with an outstanding catch at long-off in the final stages of the game. However, the great seamer landed uncomfortably on his shoulder. Following the same, Haris Rauf was seen walking off the pitch with his hurt right shoulder covered in an elastic bandage. Meanwhile, after the game, Haris Rauf underwent scans, and the results showed that he had to wait four to six weeks to heal.

Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars skipper Shaheen Afridi also talks about Haris Rauf’s injury. The 23-year-old cricketer says that his side, Lahore Qalandars, is sure to miss him, and this is a big loss for their side.

“As a team, we are deeply saddened by Haris Rauf’s injury. It was painful to see him missing out as he’s been a pillar of strength for us, and his absence will be felt. In the face of adversity, we stand united, and I have full confidence that the team will rise to the occasion,” Shaheen Afridi said as quoted by cricketpakistan.com.

Haris Rauf is also Pakistan’s main bowler: Shaheen Afridi

Shaheen Afridi hopes Haris Rauf gets cured quickly, not for the PSL 2024, but because the Pakistan cricket team sets to play a big role in the upcoming event.

“It’s indeed a setback for the franchise, but he is also Pakistan’s main bowler, and with a lot of cricket coming up, a pragmatic approach was to give him maximum time to recover. Wishing him a speedy recovery, and we eagerly await his return to the field stronger than ever. Our thoughts and support are with him during this challenging time,” he added further.
