Pakistan star pacer Haris Rauf reflected on the moment when he faced India’s stalwart Virat Kohli in a game after being named as a net bowler for India. Notably, the great seamer had a chance to bowl India’s right-handed batter during the nets back in 2018-19 when India toured Australia for a Test, ODI, and T20I series. Virat Kohli was the skipper for Team India and was enjoying his time at the epitome of the level owing to his magnificent form back in 2018–2019.

Notably, Haris Rauf, who has now become one of Pakistan’s top limited-overs bowlers at the moment, revealed his awe at Virat Kohli’s remarkable concentration even during training sessions. The right-arm pacer revealed that Virat Kohli already knew where the balls would come to his bats when he was bowling him in the nets during the practice sessions. “When I was a net bowler for the Indian team and was bowling to Virat Kohli, I felt like he knew exactly where the ball was going to hit his bat. He was very focused and that showed how sharp his concentration was,” Rauf said on ESPNCricinfo.

The 29-year-old cricketer says that he felt like he was playing the game against Virat Kohli, despite it being only the bowling practice in the game. Moreover, the Rawalpindi-born cricketer heaps praise on the former India skipper’s reputation owing to his great intensity in playing the games.

“Even during practice sessions in the nets, it felt like I was playing a match against him, despite being a net bowler. His remarkable control and intensity made me realize why he has such a reputation in the game,” he added further.
