Sarfaraz Khan had been attempting to enter the Indian Test squad for a very long time, but hasn’t been successful in doing so. Sarfaraz amassed 556 runs with an average of 92.66 throughout the course of the nine innings of the Ranji Trophy 2022–23, including three centuries and one fifty.
Since 2019, he has scored 2466 runs in the Ranji Trophy at an astounding average of 123.3, including 10 centuries as well as five fifty-pluses to his credit. Sarfaraz holds the second-best average (79.65) throughout first-class cricket, just behind Don Bradman, thanks to his remarkable domestic run. It’s about time for the selectors to offer Sarfaraz a chance to succeed internationally.
