‘He’s one of the bowlers I admire hugely’ – Stuart Broad heaps praises on Pakistan’s ace pacer
The legendary English cricketer Stuart Broad recently announced his retirement from international cricket during the fifth and final Ashes Test against Australia. Notably, the great pacer is known as one of the most lethal bowlers in the history of cricket. Moreover, the star cricketer made his Test debut on December 9 against Sri Lanka and scalped 604 wickets in his cricketing tenure of Test cricket. Furthermore, the right-arm pacer helped his side level up the Ashes series despite losing the first two matches.
Meanwhile, the star pacer took up the role of commentator in the Hundred Tournament just after retiring. Speaking on the same subject, Broad hailed Pakistan star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi when he was asked to pick one of the best bowlers. Notably, Shaheen is currently playing for the Welsh Fire in the Hundred. In addition, the Pakistani bowler grabbed attention in his debut match against Manchester Originals after grabbing back-to-back wickets in their openers.
Notably, the right-arm pacer reveals that he loves to see Afridi’s energy and vibrancy during the match “Shaheen Shah Afridi is one of my favourite bowlers to watch in the world. He’s got such a presence about him when he runs in, and I love to see bowlers run in with energy and vibrancy to their run-up,” Broad said being quoted by NDTV Sports.

The 37-year-old went on to say that Afridi has natural skills that are so pleasing to watch. The former English cricketer reveals that he admires Afridi hugely and expects him to do well in the future.
“He’s got such a natural skill – the way that ball swings back into the right-handers is such a pleasure to watch. And he represented the Notts Outlaws this summer, which is close to my heart. He’s one of the bowlers I admire hugely, and I want to see him do well,” he added further.
