Bangladesh clean-sweeped England in T20I series

“As both Prime Minister and a lifelong cricket fan it was a pleasure to welcome members of the victorious World Cup-winning side and young cricketers from the ACE programme to Number 10. This is a hugely exciting time for English cricket, with success on the field across all formats and the Ashes taking place in England this summer,” the PM wrote after the event, who was quoted as saying by Zee News.

“Cricket is a sport for everyone and I know that the success of the team will inspire kids from all backgrounds to get involved in the game. We’re backing that up with over £600million for school sports and a new requirement for all schools to provide a minimum of two hours of PE a week,” he further wrote.

Recently, England lost a three-match T20I series with a scoreline of 3-0 against Bangladesh. This was their first T20I series after clinching the 20-20 World Cup. England will now be seen in the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League which is scheduled to kick off on Friday, March 31 where the defending champions, the Gujarat franchise will lock horns against MS Dhoni-led Chennai franchise at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium.
