‘Hope aisa bade tournament me bhi ho’ – Fans react as India win 4th T20I by 9 wickets to level series against West Indies

Team India won the fourth T20I and levelled the series against West Indies. Notably, Powell’s side posted 178/8 in the given 20 after opting to bat first. Later, while chasing, the Hardik Pandya side got off to a fantastic start as their openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill forged a 165-run partnership for the first wicket. In addition, the 21-year-old Jaiswal remained unbeaten as the southpaw smashed 84 runs from just 51 balls, featuring eleven fours and three sixes, whereas the stylish right-handed batter Gill scored 77, and Tilak Varma finished off after scoring 7 runs.

In addition, India captain Hardik Pandya lauded Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill and called them brilliant with a great skill set. Moreover, the great all-rounder says that the Men in Blue still need to work on their batting and should support bowlers. Furthermore, the great, stylish batter feels bowlers make you win the matches.

I’ve always believed bowlers win matches: Hardik Pandya

“Gill and Jaiswal were brilliant. There is no doubt about their skillset. They just needed to spend some time between the wickets. Going forward we have to take more responsibility as a batting group and support the bowlers. I’ve always believed bowlers win matches,” Hardik Pandya said during the post-match presentation.

Moreover, the right-handed batter lauded their team and went on to say that the Men in Blue displayed great character despite losing the first two matches. In addition, the 29-year-old cricketer says the team tried hard to level up the series during the fourth T20I.

“We lost two games but in the first game it was our own errors. We were cruising and in the last four overs we slipped. We spoke about how these kinds of games show our character. The boys took it (defeats) in their stride. The two games (after the first two defeats) we played reflected that we pulled up our socks and played some good cricket,” he added further.
