Notably, the Hardik Pandya side posted the target of 165 runs in the given 20 overs after opting to bat first. Later, while chasing, Powell and Co. reached the target with 12 balls to spare. In addition, West Indies opener Brandon King hammered 85 runs from just 55 balls, featuring five boundaries and six sixes, leading his squad towards victory and sealing the series against India.

Meanwhile, skipper Hardik Pandya admitted that the Men in Blue lost momentum after 10 overs and failed to capitalize on the situation. Moreover, the great all-rounder says that the squad will definitely try to get better, as he believes in his boys. Furthermore, the 29-year-old cricketer added that they have plenty of time to figure out what went wrong.

“We lost the momentum after the 10 overs when I came in and couldn’t capitalize on the situation. I believe we are gonna challenge ourselves. We try to get better. In hindsight, it is fine. We don’t need to explain much. I know how the boys are within the group. We have enough time to figure it out,” Hardik Pandya said at the post-match presentation.

In addition, the Gujarat Titans batter says that he was extremely thrilled after seeing the young boys show their fantastic efforts in the play. Meanwhile, the stylish right-handed batter also promised to come back stronger during the next T20 World Cup, which is slated to take place in the West Indies and the USA.

“No rocket science, just my gut feel. Every youngster who is coming in, is showing character. I can’t be more happy when I see a youngster come in and put his hand up. A big thank you to everyone. The T20 World Cup would be here. There would be bigger numbers then,” Hardik Pandya added further.
