1) Captain shy off a hundred

Shikhar Dhawan of Punjab Kings amassed 62 runs after the eighth wicket of Punjab Kings’ batting fell on April 9—from 37 to 99—during the duration of his amazing 99 off 66 balls against Sunrisers in Hyderabad. In T20s, that is the greatest score produced by an opener in those conditions. This is undoubtedly one of the best innings of this year’s Indian Premier League season considering the circumstances in which it was scored combined with the fact that the shots that Dhawan scored were full of class.

2) Greatest 10th wicket partnership in the IPL

The unbroken 55-run stand between Dhawan and Mohit Rathee in the aforementioned match set a record for the tenth-wicket partnership in the IPL, surpassing the 31* involving Tom Curran & Ankit Rajpoot for the Rajasthan Royals against KKR in Dubai on September 30, 2020. That partnership’s major contribution came from the bat of Shikhar Dhawan who remained on 99* and took his team to a decent total from where they were during the middle overs struggling with 7 wickets down.

3) The impossible made possible (Rinku Singh hitting 5 sixes)

In order to break the record for the most runs in a successful chase in T20 history, Rinku and Umesh Yadav scored 31 runs off the final over (20th) while needing only 29 runs. The previous record was 23, which was achieved twice. It was achieved once in an IPL match between Rising Pune Super Giants and Kings XI at Visakhapatnam on May 21, 2016, and once in a Big Bash League match between Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder at Sydney on January 22, 2015.
