‘IPL ki script international cricket main bhi available hai?’ – Fans react to thrilling game between Pakistan and New Zealand in 3rd T20I

In the third T20I, New Zealand defeated Pakistan with a heart-pounding victory. After conceding seven wickets while chasing an opponent’s total of 164, Pakistan was in serious trouble. However, a late blitz by Iftikhar Ahmed brought the chase to a close.

Latham’s 64, which came after New Zealand won the toss, served as the foundation of their innings. With Mitchell, who smashed a 26-ball 33 and hammered seven fours and two sixes, along with Latham, the pair added 65 runs for the third wicket. As New Zealand proceeded to rack up 51 in the final five overs, Mark Chapman scored 16 not out off nine deliveries. In his 50th T20I, Shaheen recorded 2-33 while fellow pacer Rauf concluded with 2-31.

Ahmed’s quick 24-ball 60 helped Pakistan, who were trying to chase down 163, get back into the game after they had fallen behind by 88-7. He smashed a six and a four to lower the score to just five off the final three deliveries in Neesham’s final over, where he needed to score 15 runs to win. However, Neesham had Ahmed captured at long-on by Daryl Mitchell after which he removed last man Haris Rauf in a similar fashion after a dot ball. Together with Faheem Ashraf, Ahmed led the comeback as they added 61 runs for the ninth wicket. Ashraf made a 14-ball 27 that included two sixes and the same number of fours.

Pakistan lost wickets frequently earlier in the innings. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, a superb opening pair, were both bowled before the end of the fourth over having the score at just 17. While Rizwan was discovered short of his crease after attempting to take a quick single, Azam was caught at third man during the bowling of Adam Milne.

Rachin Ravindra, the left-arm spinner, gave Pakistan another shock when he bowled Fakhar Zaman as well as Imad Wasim, while Saim Ayub was caught by Neesham. Shaheen Shah Afridi was dismissed by Ish Sodhi, and deputy Shadab Khan was caught by Milne, leaving Pakistan in ruins. The hosts were dismissed for 159 at the Gaddafi Stadium despite the batter scoring a fifty, but was unable to push them over the finish line. New Zealand stays afloat in the five-match series even though they are down 1-2 with the victory.
