The Mumbai-based franchise expanded their merchandise by launching a gaming chair which is worth INR 29,999. The earlier signed a partnership deal with a gaming chair brand name ‘Cybeart’. They were named the official merchandising partner of Mumbai for the entire season of the Indian T20 League 2023.

Considering the craze and excitement of kids these days about gaming, the franchise have come up with an amazing gaming chair. However, it must be difficult for a middle-class kid to afford this chair as its price is considerably higher than other gaming chairs. But this move will definitely help the franchise to gain more fans around the world.

The franchise relaunched its merchandise shop ahead of the Women’s T20 League and they will be launching jerseys, backpacks, cricket gears, etc. during the 16th edition of the cash-rich league. However, it’d be interesting to see if the shop includes something budged-friendly or if everything would be costly like the gaming chair.

Meanwhile, talking about the five-time champions, they started their Indian T20 League 2023 campaign with an embarrassing loss against Bangalore. The Faf du Plessis-led side thrashed Mumbai by 8 wickets which included incredible half-centuries from Bangalore’s openers Virat Kohli and du Plessis.

Despite losing the match, Mumbai had one positive thing from the match and it was their young middle order batter, Tilak Verma who played a tremendous inning of 84 runs off just 46 deliveries which included 9 fours and 4 sixes and helped the team to achieve a fighting total in the first innings. Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma also appreciated Tilak’s marvelous inning and said that he played brilliantly and was very courageous while batting.

“Tilak played brilliantly, and so did the other youngsters. He is a very positive person, quite talented as well. Some of the shots he played today, he showed a lot of courage. We wanted to be courageous enough, and hats off to Tilak for getting us to the total” Rohit said after the game.
