‘It doesn’t look good…’ – Ramiz Raja slams Wasim Akram on his aggressive act during PSL match between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultan

As a result of his angry outburst during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings, former Pakistan seamer Wasim Akram received harsh criticism from fans on social media. The legend smashed the sofa in front of him in an angry manner after Karachi Kings lost the match in a last-ball thriller. With the entire incident being captured on tape, several fans were not satisfied by Akram’s behaviour. Now, Ramiz Raj, the former President of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has joined the mob in criticizing him.

Raja launched an attack on Akram, saying that the President of the Kings should act more responsibly because his behaviour only serves to annoy fans. “You can’t do anything while sitting outside. You have to back the players you have selected. You need to analyze things with a cool head. These gestures only create more frustration,” Raja was quoted as saying on Cricket Pakistan.

Raja went on to say that depending on the post-Akram holds, it is necessary for him to control his anger. “Plus, it doesn’t look good in terms of optics, if you can’t control your temper, which is most important in this position, so it is better to be not in public view,” he asserted.

Karachi Kings lost their third match in the final over. Imad and Ben Cutting each smashed a six to reduce the target to six runs off four deliveries in the penultimate over of the quick bowler Abbas Afridi. However, Afridi maintained his composure on the final two deliveries to pull off an exciting climax, despite Cutting being there for a long time.

As the final ball of the game was bowled and Karachi lost by three runs, the former left-arm pacer was spotted kicking the chairs placed in front of him in the locker room. Imad Wasim, the skipper, was also visibly angry, disappointed, and frustrated after he failed to clear the fence when five runs were required off the final ball.
