Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli made headlines after he scored his sixth IPL hundred against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match number 65 of the ongoing season at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Thursday.

The 34-year-old has been applauded from all over the cricket fraternity for his batting masterclass. Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Suryakumar Yadav also didn’t stay back in acknowledging the special knock as he shared a pic of Kohli celebrating his hundred on his Instagram Story with the caption ‘Maanla re Bhauuu.’

Both Kohli and Suryakumar share a great bond on and off the field and are often seen appreciating each other for their achievements. Kohli also heaped praise on Surykumar when the 32-year-old scored his maiden IPL hundred against Gujarat Titans on May 12th at the Wankhede Stadium. Kohli shared Surya’s pic on his story with the caption ‘Tuja Maanla Bhau.’

RCB defeated SRH by 8 wickets

Talking about yesterday’s match, RCB registered a convincing win over SRH by 8 wickets. Batting first, SRH posted a total of 186 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, powered by the fiery hundred by Heinrich Klaasen. In reply, RCB chased the winning total in 19.2 overs losing 2 wickets.

SRH didn’t have a great start as the hosts  lost 2 wickets for just 28 runs in 4.3 overs. After that, Klaasen and the skipper Aiden Markram took charge of the innings and put up a partnership of 76 runs for the third wicket. Markram got out after scoring 18 off 20, while Klaasen took the innings further and completed his century in the 19th over after facing just 49 deliveries.

The 31-year-old got out after scoring 104 runs off 51 balls hitting eight fours and six sixes. Harry Brook added the finishing touches by scoring 27 off 19 as SRH go past 180 runs. Chasing the winning total, Kohli and the skipper Faf du Plessis gave a flying start to RCB as the opening pair put up a partnership of 172 runs in 17.5 overs.

Kohli got out after scoring 100 runs of 63 balls with 12 fours and four sixes. While in the next over, Du Plessis also lost his wicket after scoring 71 off 47 balls with seven fours. After that, Glenn Maxwell and Michael Bracewell scored the remaining runs as RCB won the match with four balls to spare.
