Before the big match between India and Pakistan, the fans who will be watching the match on TV have bad news. The opening ceremony, which was set to take place before the match, is set to be not televised. The reason for this weird act is not known yet, as Star Sports has not revealed anything else about their move. Star Sports announced the same on their social media handles.

“The pre-match ceremony for the #INDvPAK game today will not be televised as it is only for the stadium audience. We have you covered for the rest- the match, the highlights & everything in between! Tune-in to #INDvPAK in the #WorldCupOnStar LIVE NOW | Star Sports Network.” read the statement of Star Sports on social media.

“The ceremony at the Narendra Modi stadium before match 12 of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 (India v Pakistan) has been planned for in-stadia fans. The ceremony is not for broadcast,” added the statement of Star Sports. The move of Star Sports has sparked huge criticism from the fans, who were excited to catch the event on TV.
