‘King won’t return’ – Fans react to England management’s decision of getting Ben Stokes back for upcoming ODI World Cup

The English team’s head coach, Matthew Mott, has revealed that white-ball skipper Jos Buttler will have a conversation with red-ball skipper Ben Stokes to get him back for the upcoming ODI World Cup that is slated to take place in October and November in the host country, India. Notably, the English team will definitely be looking to defend its title. In addition, the great all-rounder recently levelled up the prestigious Ashes series by 2-2 against Pat Cummins’ side despite losing the first two matches on their home soil.

In addition, England’s white coach says that Ben Stokes’ bowling would have been a bonus for their team. Moreover, the head coach wasn’t sure how the left-handed batter could contribute with the bat. Furthermore, Mott says watching Stokes during the recently concluded Ashes series was pleasing.

“Jos will probably lead the way on that communication, but Ben’s pretty straight with all of us. We will see if he’s keen. I’ve always said his bowling would be a bonus, but just look at what he brings with the bat, even in the field. Watching him throughout the whole Ashes, he had such a great presence,” Matthew Mott said on Mail Sport.
