‘Kohli dream from past 3 years’ – Kane Williamson scores spectacular 26th Test hundred against England
England locked horns against New Zealand in the second and final Test of the series which is being played in Basin Reserve, Wellington. The match kicked off on February 24. The hosts won the toss and elected to bowl first. New Zealand brought in Will Young and Matt Henry in place of Scott Kuggelejin and Blair Tickner, respectively. On the other side, the visitors were unchanged.
England scored 435 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and declared their innings. Harry Brook scored 186 runs off 176 balls, whereas Joe Root played an unbeaten knock of 153 runs off 224 balls. The star of Blackcaps bowling was Henry who took four wickets in his spell of 22.1 overs and conceded 100 runs. Two wickets were taken by spinner Michael Bracewell and 1-1 wicket each was taken by Tim Southee and Neil Wagner.
In the third innings of the Test, former New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson scored his 26th Test century and became the highest run-getter for his side. He was batting on 99 runs and scored a four to complete his ton. On the fist ball of the 136th over, he hit a boundary. The ball was short, wide and he gets a little low and chops the ball behind square on the off-side.

Jack Leach shines with ball; takes a fifer
New Zealand while batting was able to score only 209 runs. Southee was the top scorer for them with 73 runs off 49 balls with five fours and six sixes. The wicketkeeper-batter Tom Blundell was the second-highest run-getter in his side with 38 runs off 79 balls with five boundaries. For England, Stuart Broad took four wickets and 3-3 wickets were taken by James Anderson and Leech.
The hosts were given a follow-on after their disappointing performance in the first innings. Batting for he second time in the Test, Kiwis scored 483 runs before getting bundled out. The hosts set a target of 258 runs for the Three Lions to chase in order to equalise the two match Test series.
The highest run-scorer for the Blackcaps were Williamson with 132 runs off 282 balls with 12 boundaries. The wicketkeeper-batter Tom Bludell was the second highest scorer with 90 runs off 166 balls with nine boundaries. Tom Latham also played a crucial knock of 83 runs off 172 ball with 11 boundaries.
Jack Leach was the standout performer for England with the ball as he bagged a fifer in his spell of 61.3 overs and conced a mere 157 runs and bowled 12 maiden overs. One-One wicket was snapped by Ollie Robinson, Stuart Broad, Root and Brook.
