‘Maja nahi aayega Kohli kisko marega phir’ – Fans react as Haris Rauf does not take field against India on reserve day

Rohit Sharma and Co. have locked horns against Pakistan on reserve day, i.e., September 11, to resume play at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Notably, Team India had a terrific start to their innings before the rain halted the play once they were sent to bat first by Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. India’s stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill racked up 56 and 58 runs, respectively, to give a great start to his side. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s star pacer, Haris Rauf, will not be seen in bowling action while playing against India.

Notably, the Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed that the star seamer felt a little discomfort in his right hand. Moreover, the board also reveals that he was taken for an MRI, but he had no tear during his scan, and as a precautionary measure, he wasn’t allowed to bowl in the ongoing match. In addition, the right arm pacer is under observation.

Haris Rauf felt a discomfort in his right flank during the match against India: Reports

“Haris Rauf will not be bowling any further in the Asia Cup Super 4 match against India as a precautionary measure. He felt a little discomfort in his right flank during the match yesterday. He was subsequently taken for a precautionary MRI, which revealed no tear. He is under the observation of the team’s medical panel,” PCB’s statement on Rauf said.

Meanwhile, Pakistani bowling coach Morne Morkel also revealed that Haris Rauf had a scan while revealing that the right arm pacer has some inflammation. In addition, the former South African bowler admitted that they are using some other bowler to fill his position as the World Cup is around the corner.

” He had a scan and it revealed some inflammation. With the World Cup round the corner, it is precautionary and we’ll have to use the other boys to fill the overs. About yesterday’s bowling, I felt that we weren’t on the money from the get go, and that’s why we were hit for a few runs,” Pakistan bowling coach Morne Morkel said.
