Meanwhile, the speculations are very high that IPL 2023 is his last appearance in any format of competitive cricket. But, amidst all this, the CSK head coach Stephen Fleming has opened up on the retirement speculations regarding MS Dhoni after the Indian Premier League 2023.

“Dhoni hasn’t indicated anything this (IPL 2023) as the last season,” said Fleming in the side-lines of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023.

Subsequently, a section of the Indian cricket fans and Dhoni fans, immediately took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to come up with a lot of different reactions to the four-time IPL champion skipper’s retirement from this cash-rich Indian franchise league.

Earlier, MS Dhoni himself talked about his retirement after CSK’s win over KKR and indicated that it is probably his last appearance in the Indian Premier League.

“I will just say thanks for the support; they came in big numbers. Most of these guys will come in a KKR jersey next time. They are trying to give me a farewell, so thanks a lot to the crowd,” said Dhoni during the post-match presentation.

“All said and done, it’s the last phase of my career, however long I play. After two years, the fans have had the opportunity to come here and watch, it feels good to be here. The crowd has given us a lot of love and affection. Not getting enough chances to bat, but no complaints,” he added later.
