‘Matlab pitai pakki h Pakistan ki’ – Fans react as ACC announce reserve day for India vs Pakistan clash in Super 4 of Asia Cup 2023

It’s undeniable that the greatest cricket rivalry in history has always been between India and Pakistan. Notably, matches between the two countries have been rare over the past ten years due to geopolitical tensions between the two nations. The Men in Blue last played a bilateral series against Pakistan in 2012, and following that, the arch-rivals only face each other in the major tournaments, which triggers more excitement and enthusiasm among the spectators.

Notably, India and Pakistan have always been put into the same group during the Asia Cup along with one frail team so that both arch-rivals could lock horns in the Super Fours and may be in the finals. This year, Nepal has been in Group A, while the Hon Kong Team marked its inclusion during the last Asia Cup. In addition, Team India and Pakistan locked horns against each other on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka, but later the match was abandoned after rain played spoilsport in the game.

India vs Pakistan match in Super 4 will have a reserve day

Following an emphatic victory over Nepal by both sides, India and Pakistan will once again square off on September 10 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo during the Super Fours of the Asia Cup 2023. According to reports, there will be a reserve day scheduled for each Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2023, so fans won’t have to worry if the match is called off due to rainfall.

Meanwhile, if both India and Pakistan perform well during the Super Fours, one can witness the final between them on September 17. Notably, the fans are very eager to witness the final match between these two nations. Last year, Rohit Sharma’s side couldn’t reach the finals after suffering back-to-back losses against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the Super Fours, whereas Babar Azam’s side reached the finals in the Asia Cup 2022.
