Mayank Agarwal deboarded from flight, rushed to ICU in Agartala

In a turn of events that has sent shockwaves through the cricketing fraternity, Indian opener Mayank Agarwal has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Agartala, Tripura. The news has left fans and teammates extremely concerned about his health and well-being.

Initial reports courtesy of Times Now suggest he experienced a burning sensation in his mouth and throat while travelling from Agartala to Surat. It has been learnt that this occurred immediately after he drank water from a bottle and so, it is possible that the bottle contained a poisonous substance. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and subsequently admitted to the ICU. Agarwal has represented India in 21 Tests, the last of which came back in March 2022 against Sri Lanka. He was dropped after an inconsistent run but his recent returns offered him hope.
