‘Acha score bna lia thaa inhone’ – Fans react as Multan Sultans beat Karachi Kings by 55 runs in 3rd game of PSL 2024

The Multan Sultans won the third game of the Pakistan Super League 2024 against the Karachi Kings at Multan Cricket Stadium on February 18. However, speaking about the game here, it was Karachi Kings skipper Shan Masood who won the toss and invited the Multan Sultans to bat first in the game. Notably, after being sent to bat first, they had posted 185/2 in the given 20 overs.

The hosts have gotten off to a great start, as wicketkeeper batter and skipper Mohammed Rizwan could only pile up 11 runs; however, it was star batter David Malan who took the onus to boost their top order in the game after the captain’s knock. Notably, the left-handed batter went on to hammer 52 runs from 41 balls, featuring four boundaries and one six, and stitched the great stand with great batter Reeza Hendricks.

Meanwhile, the star batter made 79 runs from 54 balls, including seven fours and three sixes, while Khushdil Shah made 28 runs from 13 balls, featuring four boundaries, to help their side post a great total of 185/2 in the given 20 overs.

Karachi Kings failed to get a great start, which made them lose the game

Meanwhile, Karachi Kings had an awful start during the chase as skipper Shan Masood made just 30 runs from 31 balls while James Vince and Saad Baig were departed for 5 and 0 runs, respectively. However, star cricketer Shoaib Malik fought really hard as the great all-rounder went on to make 53 runs from 35 balls, scoring five fours and two sixes, but lost his wicket during the crucial time.

However, following him, star all-rounder Mohammed Nawaz also made just seven runs, while Kieron Pollard tried very hard to chase down the given total in the last few overs, but he didn’t get support from any batters, especially from the lower and middle order. Notably, Daniel Sams, Hasan Ali, and Mir Hamza departed on the duck and failed to create any partnership, which makes them lost the crucial game.
