‘Our Privacy Was Hurt’ – Shaheen Afridi not happy as his wedding clips gets leaked

Shaheen Shah Afridi married former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi’s daughter on Saturday. However, some ‘leaks’ appeared on social media before the couple formally released the wedding photos and videos. Shaheen turned to Twitter to call out people who released the wedding photos, claiming that they had violated his and the family’s privacy.

Shaheen was understandably confused by the behaviour. Unfortunately, despite the couple’s apparent request, attendees did not have their phones turned off to participate in an ‘unplugged ceremony’.

“It’s very disappointing that despite many and repeated requests, our privacy was hurt and people kept on sharing it further without any guilt. I would like to humbly request everyone again to kindly coordinate with us and not try to spoil our memorable big day,” Shaheen Afridi wrote on Twitter while criticizing those who shared his wedding pictures.

Shaheen Afridi to make his comeback

Many Pakistani cricketers, including Shadab Khan, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, and Sarfaraz Ahmed, were present at the wedding ceremony in Karachi. Last year, the couple got engaged. The Pakistan bowler and Shaheen Afridi’s father-in-law, Shahid Afridi, confirmed their engagement on Twitter on the eve of their wedding.

“Daughter is the most beautiful flower of your garden because they blossom with great blessing. A daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with, and love with all your heart. As parent, I gave my daughter in Nikkah to @iShaheenAfridi, congratulations to the two of them,” Afridi posted on Twitter.

Shaheen Afridi is currently on the road to recovery after suffering a knee injury last year. He is putting a lot of effort into getting ready for the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League

Shaheen guided Qalandars to their first PSL championship last season. Shaheen has been instrumental with both the bat and the ball. Shaheen will need to demonstrate his match fitness in the PSL, though, in order to rejoin the international team. He can return after the PSL in the home series against New Zealand, and his contribution will be essential for Pakistan before the 50-over World Cup.
