Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi all set to tie knot with Shahid Afridi’s daughter on February 3

If Haris Rauf’s nikah ceremony surprised you, we’re sorry to inform you that Shaheen Shah Afridi is another cricketer who plans to get married this winter. Notably, Shaheen had been engaged to former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s daughter, Ansha, two years ago. The couple will be getting married in a nikah ceremony on February 3, 2023, according to sources, who first revealed the couple’s engagement last year.

Shaheen and Ansha’s nikah will take place in Karachi on February 3, prior to the commencement of the upcoming Pakistan Super League season, a source close to the Afridi family has informed. The source also revealed that the rest of the events will be held, sometime, later.

The speedster dealt with many difficulties this year, the most recent of which was an injury sustained during the T20 final versus England. In his third over, the left-armer forced Harry Brook out of the game after falling on his right knee while taking a catch.

He had entered the competition following what appeared to be an expedited recovery from the knee ligament injury he had had in July during the second Sri Lanka Test.

Shaheen plays for the national cricket team as well as PSL’s Lahore Qalandars alongside Haris Rauf, Fakhar Zaman, Afghan Rashid Khan, Abdullah Shafique, David Wiese, Kamran Ghulam, Harry Brook, Jordan Cox, Liam Dawson, Sikandar Raza, Hussain Talat, Dilbar Hussain, Tahir Baig, Ahmed Daniyal, Shawaiz Irfan and Jalal Khan. The HBL PSL 8 will run from Feb 9 to March 19, 2023.

Afridi, once again, demonstrated that he was a continuous threat to opposing batters while leading Pakistan’s bowling assault in their run to the Men’s 20-20 World Cup final in 2021.

His standout figures came in the crucial match against Bangladesh in Adelaide when his four for 22 ensured his side’s advancement to the knockout stages. He took ten wickets during the month at an exceptional average of 7.30. He was injured midway through the final, but he was still essential to keeping England in the game during the grand finale.
