WATCH: Pakistan shows horrendous fielding display on Day 1 of first Test vs Australia

The Pakistan cricket team once again showed their bizarre fielding during the first Test game against Australia on December 14 in Perth. Notably, the visitors missed the chance take a wicket by a run out and missed the stumps on the same ball. The incident happened during the 63rd over when David Warner and Travis Head were at the crease. In addition, the video of such misfielding had gone viral on social media, with mixed reactions from the fans.

Speaking about the first day of the Test match, it was Australia skipper Pat Cummins who won the toss and invited the Shan Masood-led Pakistan team to field first. Notably, after being opted to bat first, the hosts were able to pile up 346/5 at the end of Day 1, owing to a magnificent century from star batter David Warner. The southpaw hammered 161 runs from 211 balls, featuring 16 boundaries and four sixes, to put his side into a strong position at the end of Day 1.

Apart from him, star opener Usman Khawaja also hammered 41 runs and shared the great stand with David Warner, who slammed his 26th Test tone against the table toppers of the WTC Cycle 2023-2025. In addition, middle-order batter Marnus Labuschagne was cheaply departed for just 16 runs.

Meanwhile, Steve Smith and Travis Head were able to score 31 and 41 runs, respectively. Meanwhile, Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey are unbeaten at the crease, with 15 and 14 runs, respectively, at the end of Day 1. Notably, Pat Cummins-led Australia will be looking to cross 400 runs before declaring their first inning against Pakistan.
