‘Tickets hi khtm abb tak to’ – Fans react as PCB wants Apex Cricket Council to expedite visa for Pakistan fans to watch ODI World Cup 2023

The Pakistan Cricket Team has been enjoying their time in Hyderabad, as they were recently spotted for dinner on September 29. Notably, Babar Azam and Co. will be facing Australia on October 3 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad for their second warmup game of the ODI World Cup 2023. The Men in Green already lost the first warm-up game against New Zealand on September 29.

Meanwhile, as the tournament is looming around the corner, fans are arranging their tickets to witness the matches for the ODI World Cup 2023. However, yet again, some issues have arrived from the Pakistan Cricket Board. According to sources, PCB wrote to the Apex Cricket Council to expedite the visa process for Pakistan journalists and cricket fans who wish to travel to the host country India for the ODI World Cup 2023.

Moreover, Indian Cricket Board sources say that India’s External Affairs Ministry is looking into the names of Pakistani journalists and fans who wish to be in India for the ODI World Cup 2023. The sources further claim that it will be the decision of the Indian home minister, sports minister, and external affairs minister to allow or not allow Pakistan to enter India owing to the rising political tension in both countries.

There is growing anxiety among Pakistan fans and journalists who wish to cover ODI World Cup 2023: Reports

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board also requested visas from the Apex Cricket Council for the players. Notably, this time, PCB has sent an email to Apex Cricket Council for visa approvals of fans and journalists to cover the ODI World Cup 2023. “The visa applications for Pakistan media are being facilitated,” said an Indian Cricket Board source.

“It is alarming that the media and fans are yet to be informed about the visa policy, as Pakistan have already played their first of the two warm-ups and will play their first World Cup contest in six days. The PCB expects that the ICC and other relevant authorities will expedite the matter as there is a growing anxiety among Pakistan fans and journalists who wish to support and cover their team in the ICC CWC 2023,” a PCB source said.
