Prize Money for ODI World Cup 2023 announced

The 2023 ODI World Cup will be held in India. When it comes to the prize money that will be distributed after the tournament, there are some mind-boggling numbers to take note of. An overall purse of 10 Million USD has been announced as prize money for the tournament that will be held in the subcontinent for the fourth time. When it comes to the victors of the tournament they are set to receive 4 million from a total prize pool of 10 million USD.

The final of the tournament is set to be played in front of a capacity crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. When it comes to the format of the tournament, it is similar to the 2019 World Cup edition where it will be played in the form of a round-robin. All 10 teams will face each other once in the tournament. New Zealand and England played a wonderful final at Lords four years back where England won on boundary count.

The top four teams on the points table will get into the semi-finals. In the Group Stage, there is a lot of money to be made there as well. Teams will get USD 40,000 for every victory. At the end of the Group Stage, teams that will not be able to reach the knockouts will each get USD 100,000. This will be the 13th edition of the World Cup. England are defending Champions from the 2019 edition.

The India-Pakistan game in World Cup 2023 will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat

Ten venues will be in play to host the games and it will be a very interesting World Cup to watch. All sides will be wanting to do their best in the big tournament in India. The India-Pakistan fixture and the first game between England and New Zealand will be held at the Narendra Modi stadium. The Men in Blue last won the World Cup in 2011 and created history. They will be looking to do the same under Rohit Sharma.

Australia are one of the most successful sides when it comes to World Cups. The Kangaroos have won five editions. When it comes to New Zealand they did well and got to the semi-final the last time it was played in 2011. All subcontinental sides will be a force to reckon with in this edition.
