This abuse of power is intolerable! Urging authorities for immediate action”

Mohammad Amir has been in good form for the Quetta Gladiators side in recent times. The alleged incident seems to have taken place on Sunday at the Multan Cricket Ground. Mohammad Rizwan and his Multan side had won the game by 13 runs to keep their top spot intact.

Mohammad Amir seethes with rage –

Pakistan Super League 2024 has seen a new controversy erupt involving Mohammad Amir. The cricketer has urged Maryam Sharif the daughter of former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif to take action.

The 31-year-old had retired from international cricket in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. Since then there have been reports of Mohammad Amir set to become a British citizen.

Shaheen Afridi who is the current Pakistan T20I skipper has urged Amir to come out of retirement. During a chat with the media, Afridi said that he hoped that Amir would play for Pakistan again.

This year there is a massive test for the men in green as they take part in the T20I World Cup. The former champions are in the same group as India whom they will face on the 9th of June in New York.

During the game against Multan on Sunday, Amir got the wickets of Reeza Hendricks for 72. This was followed by the wicket of Iftikhar Ahmed who was out for a first-ball duck. Multan batting first had scored 180 runs before restricting Quetta to just 167. With the bat, Amir batting at number 10 scored 12 runs from 8 balls with two hits to the fence.

Quetta are at the 2nd spot with 6 points from 4 games while Multan are on top with 8 points from 5. Defending champions Lahore Qalandars are bottom of the table without a win from their 5 games so far.
