‘Rohit bowling bhi karega’ – Fans react to Rohit Sharma bowling in nets before ODI World Cup game against Bangladesh

The Indian Cricket Team is on a high after their third win in the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. On Saturday, Rohit Sharma and his men beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in Ahmedabad.

India’s next opponents are Bangladesh and the game will be played on Thursday in Pune. If the Indian team wins the game they will their 4th game on the trot. Bangladesh on the other hand has played three games and lost two and won just one game.

Shakib Al Hasan is facing fitness issues and his availability for the game is under huge doubt. The two teams have met each other 4 times in World Cup history with India winning and Bangladesh winning 1.

Rohit Sharma seen bowling in the nets –

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma began his cricketing career as an off-spin bowler. A spate of injuries to his finger meant that the 36-year-old gave up on bowling. India’s skipper was seen rolling his arm in the nets ahead of the big game on Thursday in Pune.

The Indian team could see one change with Shardul Thakur making way for either Ravichandran Ashwin or Mohammad Shami. The 33-year-old Mohammad Shami is yet to play a game during the ODI World Cup 2023 campaign.

Shardul Thakur turned 32-year-old on Monday but hasn’t enjoyed a good time so far. Against Pakistan, the right-arm medium pacer bowled just two overs and went wicketless. The rest of the Indian bowlers picked two wickets each for their side to bowl out Pakistan for 191.

As far as the batting order goes, India will be looking at the same line-up that played against Pakistan. Shubman Gill scored 16 runs on his return to the side and will be looking to get into to groove with the bat. The 24-year-old has scored 1246 runs this year in ODI Cricket.

Virat Kohli too will be looking to make a statement after falling cheaply against Pakistan. The former Indian skipper fell to Hasan Ali for 16 when he went for a pull only to be caught. Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer will hope the batting beauty in Pune can help the two to score more runs for India.
