‘Sach Maan ne mein koi burai nhi’ – Fans react as Waqar Younis calls Pakistan ‘Weaker Side’ in comparison to India

All the cricket teams are gearing up for the ODI World Cup 2023, which will commence on October 5. Notably, the highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is all set to take place on October 14 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahemdabad. Speaking on the same subject, former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Younis feels the clash between these two teams will be one of the biggest games during the upcoming marquee event.

The well-renowed cricket commentator called the encounter between both teams the mother of the games. In addition, the former seamer feels Team India will be facing pressure but called Babar Azam and Co. slightly weaker as compared to the hosts when both sides face in Ahemdabad.

“As we all know, it (India vs Pakistan) will be the biggest game, mother of all the games. So, when you play in Ahmedabad, you will have to control your nerves, and not only Pakistan will be under pressure since it is a weaker team as compared to India,” Waqar Younis said on Star Sports.

India definitely will be a better team: Waqar Younis

The former right-arm pacer feels the crowd at Ahemdabad will create pressure on both teams. Moreover, the cricket analyst says India is the better team as performance-wise. Notably, the legendary cricketer remarks came after as Rohit Sharma and Co. registered the historic 228-run win against the Men in Green during the Super Fours of Asia Cup 2023. It’s noteworthy that Team India has never lost against Pakistan since 1992 in 50-over format.

“But India will also be under pressure because the crowd in the stadium will create pressure on both the teams. However, if we judge purely based on the team’s performance, India definitely will be a better team,” he added further.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will be facing the Netherlands on October 6 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, while Rohit Sharma and Co. will be facing Australia on October 8 in Chennai to commence their journey.
