‘Sachin ki team ke samne 100 marne ka ghamand hai’ – Fans go berserk as Shubman Gill hits third ton in IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 between GT and MI
Gujarat Titans (GT) star batter Shubman Gill continued his Golden form as he smashed his third hundred in the last four games of IPL 2023. This time, Gill reached his triple figures in the ongoing Qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The defending GT is taking on the five-time champions MI for the spot in the title clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 28th.
MI skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked GT to bat first. Gill and Wriddhiman Saha gave a flying start to GT by adding 54 runs for the first wicket in 6.2 overs. Saha got out after scoring 18 runs off 16 balls with three boundaries. After that, Gill and Sai Sudharsan put up a partnership of 148 runs for the second wicket. Gill took charge in the middle overs smashing bowlers like Akash Madhwal, Chirs Jordan and Piyush Chawla. You see players dominate either spin or pace. But the ones who can dominate both are very special cricketers. And undeniably Shubman Gill is a special one. What a player, what an elegant player.
