‘Criticizing is the easiest thing, and anyone can do it’- Pakistan’s all-rounder shuts down troll for savage attack after their defeat against Afghanistan in ODI World Cup 2023

The Pakistan Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against in-form South Africa for their sixth game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on October 27 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Notably, the Men in Green had a stellar start to their campaign, but they have suffered back-to-back defeats against India, Australia, and Afghanistan in the ongoing marquee event.

However, Pakistan’s all-rounder Shadab Khan is quite confident about his team’s performance in the pressure situation. The 25-year-old cricketer has clarified that they have openly accepted that they are not performing well and are staying honest with themselves.

“I think our team has come out of such situations and also performed well in such situations, and hopefully, from tomorrow, our winning streak will start. You should accept reality – if you are not able to perform, then you should be honest with yourself. Because you know best about yourself – maybe no one else knows about me. So, I think you should analyze yourself. You should have an honest opinion about yourself. Talk to yourself,” Shadab Khan said.

The main concern is like everyone is struggling at the same time: Shadab Khan

The middle-order batsman took a sly dig at the former cricketer, who had lashed out at Pakistan’s team after their defeat against a frail Afghan side. The right-handed batsman believes it’s easy to criticize, and anyone can do that. However, the leg-spinner revealed their reason for the back-to-back defeats. The Sargodha-born cricketer said that every player in Pakistan’s squad is struggling to put up runs and get wickets at the right time. Meanwhile, the vice-captain is hopeful of turning things up for Babar Azam and Co.

“Criticizing is the easiest thing, and anyone can do it – that should make no difference. What is written for us, that has to happen. But, the main concern is like everyone is going (struggling) at the same time. That’s a problem we are getting. We are struggling as a unit. Hopefully, it’s changed tomorrow, and everyone starts on the right track,” he said.
