Meanwhile, it was Global Head of Performance of MI Mahela Jayawardene, announced that India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya will lead the side in the upcoming edition, keeping future perspectives of the team in mind. In addition, Jayawardene expressed gratitude to Rohit Sharma for making the franchise the most successful one. Notably, the 30-year-old cricketer has been brought back to MI camp ahead of the auctions after his successful stint with the Gujarat Titans back in IPL 2022 and IPL 2023.
