‘3-1 tomorrow’ – Fans react as India finish 40/0 at stumps on Day 3, need 152 more to win vs England in 4th Test

Team India just needed 152 runs to win the fourth Test match against England, which is taking place at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. bundled out England for just 145 runs in the second inning of the game, putting the hosts in the dominant position.

Notably, England had a great start to the second inning as star batter Zak Crawley made 60 runs from 91 balls; however, Ben Duckett, Olive Pope, and Joe Root departed cheaply in the game. However, following them, Jonny Bairstow was looking great as he went on to hammer 30 runs, and except for him, no other batters could get the runs, which made them all out for 145 runs.

However, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal are unbeaten at the crease with 24 and 16 runs, respectively, in the game, and both great batters will be looking to boost the top order of India in order to win the fourth Test game and win the series.

I’ve enjoyed every single moment of being with this team and the longer it lasts, I’ll be very happy: Ravichandran Ashwin

Meanwhile, India’s star cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin was the star of the game as he went on to scalp five wickets in the second inning and dismantled England’s batting line-up. The great all-rounder expressed his happiness after his side stood in a dominant position at the end of Day 3. In addition, the star-off spinner reveals that he will be more happy if his side wins the fourth Test match against England on Day 4.

“You can take all the wickets you wanted, and you can perform every time, but the best thing to happen is when the team wins. That feeling is surreal when you win a Test match after 4 tough days. I’d like to have that feeling tomorrow. Rohit Sharma and Jaiswal have started really well, hopefully, they’ll carry on tomorrow. Sunny bhai, you’re being too generous, thank you so much (on the 500-wicket milestone). I’m definitely past all these things now, I’ve enjoyed every single moment of being with this team and the longer it lasts, I’ll be very happy,” Ravichandran Ashwin said at the end of Day 3.
