Team India set for royal treatment during third Test vs England in Rajkot

Rohit Sharma and Ben Stokes resume battle when the two teams meet in Rajkot on Thursday. Ahead of the third Test, the series is squared at 1-1 after England began with a win in Hyderabad. Jasprit Bumrah’s 9/91 helped India win the Vizag Test and claw back into the series.

As the two teams reach Rajkot, there is a massive welcome in store for India. It is learned that Rohit Sharma will be given a presidential suite at the hotel. Sayaji Hotel is where the team is staying and KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma have been given huge rooms.

Ravindra Jadeja the local player is expected to get a rousing welcome as well. The 35-year-old has been in the news recently after his father’s comments on his wife went viral. Speaking about the cuisine the hotel’s director Mr Urvesh Purohit revealed the menu. Breakfast will have local flavours and delicacies, while lunch and dinner are also set to have a vast spread.

The team is sweating it out as they prepare to battle the Baz-Ball tactics of the England side. Rajkot is hosting a Test match after a long time and they want to leave no stone unturned. According to Mr Urvesh Purohit, the team will be served Jalebi-Fafda, Thepla, and many such local delights.

Kathiyawadi food will be the flavour of the night as the dinner is also set to be sumptuous. Delicacies like Khichdi Kadhi, Dahi Tikari, and many more will be served to the Indian side. it has come to light that several Indian stars are huge lovers of the local cuisine. Meanwhile, former Australian skipper Ian Chappell has lauded Ben Stokes for his captaincy skills during the India tour so far. It is set to be the 100th Test match for the English skipper in what is already a glittering career.

Ian Chappell wrote on ESPN CRICINFO “As the home side India should eventually win a tough series, but it has a real battle on their hands. England under the aggressive leadership of Stokes is a far cry from the poorly captained Joe Root team that capitulated against spin on their last tour of the country”.

Jack Leach is set to miss the final three games of the series after injuring himself during the 1st Test. England has named no replacement as Tom Hartley, Shoaib Bashir, and Rehan Ahmed will man the spin duties. Joe Root’s bowling future seems uncertain after injuring his finger during the second Test match.
