‘Virat’s 100 will be a great tribute to Dada’ – Former India pacer makes massive statement ahead of RCB vs DC clash in IPL 2023

In the 50th match of the Indian Premier League 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore is facing Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. After beating Lucknow Super Giants in their last game, RCB will be full of confidence, while Delhi will look to make a comeback in the ongoing tournament. Notably, this will be the first appearance of Virat Kohli after his fight with Gautam Gambhir.

Meanwhile, former India pacer S Sreesanth made a major statement before the much-anticipated showdown, sending fans into a frenzy. The former India bowler underlined three intriguing factors of the upcoming encounter on the Star Sports network. Given the results of the previous meetings between RCB and DC, Sreesanth believes it would be a thriller to witness.

“The golden match of the IPL. This is going to be very exciting, DC playing RCB,” Sreesanth said in a video posted by Star Sports Network on Twitter. “No. 1 point – Virat Kohli vs Warner. It’s going to be a thriller to watch because DC just won a game and RCB are on the verge of making it to the best in the league”, he further added. “Point no. 2 for me will be Nortje. I’ll love to see him running in hard and making the RCB batters dance to his tunes,” he added.

Virat Kohli gave a stare to Sourav Ganguly in their last game against DC

Sreesanth’s final and most important point attracted the most attention on social media. He stated that he would want to see Kohli get a century at his home field as a tribute to Sourav Ganguly, the director of cricket operations at DC. He said The third point is pretty interesting. I would love to see Virat scoring a hundred. It would be a great tribute to Dada. Virat, just go out there and express yourself and win this for RCB.”

Notably, Kohli and Ganguly had some very cold relations during their term with the Indian team. The previous time Delhi faced RCB in Bengaluru, Kohli took a catch to dismiss Aman Hakim Khan and on his way back to his fielding position on the boundary rope, he gave Ganguly a stare. However, winning this game will keep DC alive in the ongoing tournament while RCB can make it into the top four with this victory.
