‘Wanting fame is a disease’- Virat Kohli shares heart-warming post for Irfan Khan on the Bollywood star’s birth anniversary

On the occasion of the actor Irfan Khan’s birthday, Virat Kohli paid tribute to him. Kohli has been inspired by the legendary actor who, through his inspirational quotes and masterful acting, left a lasting impression on people’s lives.

The late actor’s famous quotes, “chasing fame is not everything and experiencing life as it comes is important,” were used by the former India captain before the Sri Lanka series. Kohli became very emotional and thought Irfan’s statements are accurate. The right-handed batter wants to enjoy every day without worrying about fame or success as he prepares for the ODI series against Sri Lanka.

No matter the format in which Kohli plays, there is always a great deal of expectation. The right-hand batter is always expected by supporters to score a tonne of runs and aid India in victories. Kohli has carried that weight for more than 15 years, and he still does.

In the meantime, Kohli was spotted earlier this week in Vrindavan with his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika seeking the blessings of the almighty. Kohli and his family visited the holy town after celebrating New Year’s in Dubai and beginning the year in the UAE.

The 34-year-old was not selected for India’s three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka and used his extra rest time to visit the historical city of Mathura in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh (UP). Kohli will soon rejoin the Indian team for the three-match One-Day International series against Sri Lanka.

Kohli has a big year ahead of him after a roller-coaster 2022 that saw him start the year on a bad note with a terrible run of form in the 2022 Indian T20 League and a forgettable three-format tour of England.

He made a triumphant return, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer in the 2022 Asia Cup and the leading run-scorer in the 20-20 World Cup. Kohli broke his nearly three-year drought for the elusive 71st international century last month, as well as his first ODI hundred in 3.5 years.
