‘Bhaiya hame ye batao aap logo ne kya …’ – Wasim Akram lashes out at Mickey Arthur for making bizarre comments after Pakistan’s loss against India

The Pakistan team lost their third game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on October 14 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Notably, the Men in Green had a magnificent start, but they lost their last eight wickets for just 36 runs. The Men in Blue chased down the total against Pakistan in just 30 overs. However, following the loss, Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur lashed out with his bizarre comments on the Indian Cricket Board.

Former South African batsman Mickey Arthur was seen accusing the Indian Cricket Board while claiming he found the crowd to be partial and non-supportive in the stadium. In addition, the 55-year-old cricketer feels that there were no Pakistani songs played in the stadium, while all songs were by Team India.

“Look, I would be lying if I said… It didn’t seem like an ICC event, tonight, to be brutally honest. It seemed like a bilateral series; it seemed like a BCCI event. I didn’t hear Dil Dil Pakistan coming through the microphones too often tonight,” Mickey Arthur said at the post-match press conference.

We want to know why we lost and what went wrong: Wasim Akram

Meanwhile, following his statements after the loss, former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram launched a sharp attack on Mickey Arthur while calling his statements baseless. The legendary cricketer further questioned him about the losses of the Pakistan team over India. Moreover, the 57-year-old cricketer feels Mickey Arthur should clarify the reason for the loss rather than make such useless excuses for it.

“Bhaiya hame ye batao aap logo ne kya plan kiya tha? (Brother, tell me what was the plan?) Kuldeep Yadav ko kaese khelna hai? (How did you prepare to play Kuldeep Yadav?) That’s what we want to hear. Not this random stuff. You think you can get away with this. No, you can’t, unfortunately. Winning and losing is a part of the game, but we want to know why we lost and what went wrong,” Wasim Akram said.
