Earlier, the former Kiwi player criticised Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam for his knock in which he scored 115 runs in 65 balls with 15 fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 176.92 against Quetta Gladiators. “Rather than putting the team first… the last little while, that’s all that been happening. Rather than looking for boundaries, still so much firepower to come. Hundreds are brilliant, stats are great, but it has to be team first,” said the 53-year-old during the PSL match.
In that match Peshawar scored 240 runs in the first innings but star England batter Jason Roy played a marvelous innings of unbeaten 145 runs from 63 balls which came at a strike rate of just over 230 which included 20 boundaries and five sixes. His inning helped his side to chase down a mammoth total of 241 runs in the 19th over and he was awarded Player of the Match for his brilliamt innings
