This is not the first time CSK have bought the IPL trophy at the famous TTD temple. Notably in 2021, former Indian Cricket Board president N Srinivasan along with the CSK owners attended the special prayer after the trophy was taken to the temple when the South Indian franchise clinched their fourth IPL title that year. Former Tamil Nadu Cricket Association president, Rupa Gurunath and Srinivasan’s daughter, also joined the cricket administrator.
