Amid the ongoing talks around Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) player retention and upcoming auctions, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni is enjoying his time in his hometown of Ranchi. The 42-year-old wicketkeeper-batter is currently having fun in Ranchi while the team is set to get some fresh faces at auction.

Dhoni, who consistently finds himself in headlines because of his bikes and pets, is once again making the rounds on social media. In a recently viral video, Dhoni can be seen pampering one of his pet horses and having a fun time with him. In the viral video, Dhoni can be seen feeding his horse Chetak along with some of his friends.

Here is the video:

Named after Maharana Pratap’s legendary warhorse, Chetak relishes the expansive green landscapes of Dhoni’s farmhouse. Crafted with precision over three years, the farmhouse serves as a luxurious and serene retreat for the sportsman and his family. The former India skipper has a big barn back in his farmhouse for his favourite pets.

Will MS Dhoni play the whole IPL in 2024?

As in the recent retention process, the Chennai Super Kings retained skipper MS Dhoni for the upcoming season. Dhoni will be leading the Men in Yellow for the 17th straight season and will be keen to lead them to another glory. However, his participation stays in jeopardy because of his knee surgery.

Dhoni is still recovering from it, and he might be looking to get some rest too. However, CSK fans will be keen to get their captain back on the field soon. It’s worth noting that the player auction for IPL 2024 will take place on December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. It will be the first time since its launch that the IPL will hold an auction outside India.
